Saint Ambroix
is a village whose medieval quarters remind of a rich historical past.  It is also well known for its legend of the "volo biou" (the flying ox)  which is celebrated each year during July.

 

 

 

Situated in the triangle  Cévennes-Ardèche-Provence, it enables visitors to discover exceptional beauty spots at more or less an hour away: the Pont du Gard, the Camargue, the  Parc National des Cévennes the Pont d'Arc in the Ardéche

 

 

 The river Cèze has its source in the Cévennes, flows through a land rich in gold, silk and mineral mines and tumbles down through narrow gorges overlooked by villages, and finally joins the Rhône in an area full of Roman remains.
